Oasis Home Church is built around a simple conviction: people grow best in community, not in rows.
We are a church of home churches. That means instead of one large Sunday program, we're a network of Home Church Gatherings — small groups of people who meet weekly in living rooms across South Seattle and online. These aren't small groups. They're led by leaders with pastoral gifting, they practice care and benevolence, and they are as much the church as anything that happens on a Sunday morning.
We gather each Sunday at 10:30am for our Collective Service — worship, the Word proclaimed, and weekly communion as our response. And on the fourth Sunday of each month, Brunch Church opens the table to anyone in the neighborhood who's curious.
This is the model of the early church. Acts 2 describes followers of Jesus gathering in the temple courts and from house to house. Information and transformation. Both matter. Both are Oasis.
We're a church for people who are hungry for something real. Come as you are.

The mission of Oasis Home Church is simply the Great Co-Mission Jesus gave His followers in Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
In order to make disciples, we must first commit to being a disciple of Jesus. At Oasis Home Church, we define discipleship as followership. When we commit our lives to following what Jesus has called us to in Scripture, we are His disciples.
As disciples of Jesus, we are partners in His Co-Mission. We desire to see others take next steps of followership to Jesus, including baptism and teaching them to obey what Jesus has commanded.

At Oasis Home Church our vision is to develop and deploy healthy, abiding followers of Jesus.
We believe Jesus was clear that for us to be faithful to His Co-Mission requires us to be WITH Him. Jesus said it this way in the Gospel account of John 15:5 (NLT)
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
We are called to follow Him.
We are grounded by God's Word for His people and His Church.
We are all empowered by God's Spirit and called into His Co-Mission.
We develop best in community.
We’re always in process as people and as a church.
We will deploy finances, resources, leadership for God's Kingdom.
We believe healthy things grow: disciples, leaders, home churches.
Both our Collective Service and our Home Church Gatherings meet these marks. That's not an accident — it's the point.
Oasis Home Church is part of the Free Methodist Church, a movement founded in 1860 on a conviction that the church belongs to everyone — not just the powerful, the polished, or the privileged.
Free Methodists were early advocates for the abolition of slavery, for the education of women, and for the dignity of the poor. That history shapes how we read Scripture and how we do church today.
We hold historic Christian beliefs — the authority of Scripture, the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit — while remaining committed to genuine community and ongoing reform.
